German company stopped gas supplies to customers due to rising prices

The German company Deutsche Energiepool has stopped supplying gas to customers due to high prices on the gas market, Ekonomichna Pravda reports.

“Over the past few months, purchase prices for natural gas and electricity in the futures market have tripled, while prices for short-term purchases have increased by about five times. Nobody could have expected such a fast and unprecedented development in the energy market,” they note.

According to them, the company can no longer continue this way due to economic inexpediency. Therefore, they are forced to break many of the concluded contracts.

When delivering gas to customers, Eon will replace it.

To recap, Norway may increase gas supplies to Europe due to a sharp rise in prices.

As reported, on Monday, September 20, the price of the nearest (October) futures for the TTF spot gas index on the ICE Futures exchange in the morning reached $ 855 per thousand cubic meters.
