The UAE plans to produce up to 5 million barrels of oil per day by 2030

UAE Energy Minister Suhail al-Mazroui said that by 2030 the country expected to increase oil production to 5 million barrels per day, Angi reports.

This decision is associated with the announcement of the discovery of new fields in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

On Sunday, the UAE announced the discovery of 2 billion barrels of conventional oil reserves and 22 billion barrels of unconventional oil reserves in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The discovery "strengthens the UAE's position as a major player in the global oil market and reflects the ongoing development processes undertaken by the national oil company ADNOC to achieve its goal of increasing production capacity to 5 million barrels of oil per day by 2030," the minister said.
