The selling price of electricity into WEM in May 2019
According to the results of May 2019, the average selling price of electricity into the WEM amounted to 1136.9 UAH/MWh (by 1.5% more compared to May 2018). Compared to April 2019, electricity price increased by 0.8%.
By the generation types, NPP’s electricity price was 579.5 UAH/MWh (+5.4% compared to May 2018), TPP’s electricity price – 1734.3 UAH/MWh (-9.6%), HPP’s – 625.3 UAH/MWh (+36.7%), electricity produced by renewables – 4704.5 UAH/MWh (-21.3%) and CHPP’s - 1821.3 UAH/MWh (-17.8%).
The structure of electricity production in May looked as follows:
• NPPs — 6 233 thousand MWh (56.61% in the total structure);
• TPPs — 3 070 thousand MWh (27.89%);
• HPPs — 783 thousand MWh (7.1%);
• Renewables — 488 thousand MWh (4.4%);
• CHPPs — 434 thousand MWh (3.95%).
