Electricity sales on the day-ahead market decreased in February

According to the state-owned enterprise Market Operator, the volume of electricity sales on the day-ahead market (DAM) in the IPS of Ukraine trade zone decreased by 12.53% in February 2020. In turn, the sale of electricity increased by 2.46% in the Burshtyn TPP energy island. Thus, the total volume of electricity sales on the day-ahead market (DAM) decreased by 10.07% and amounted to 7139 GWh in February 2020.

According to the results of the month, the weighted average price on the DAM in February 2020 decreased by 10.78% compared to January 2020 and amounted to 1,271.42 UAH /MWh. In the IPS of Ukraine, the weighted average price decreased by 12.36% and amounted to 1,232.08 UAH /MWh. In Burshtyn Island it decreased by 2.36% and amounts to 1,678.72 UAH/MWh.

In February 2020, the cost of purchased-sold electricity on the DAM in the IPS is UAH 5,861.96 million (including VAT), UAH 771.38 million (including VAT) in Burshtyn TPP. Thus, the total cost amounted to UAH 6 633.34 million (including VAT).
