Former Ukrhydroenergo Supervisory Board member to sue the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection due to dismissal

Former Ukrenergo Supervisory Board member Valentyn Hvozdii plans to challenge his dismissal in court. It is reported by EnergoReforma.

“Of course, the illegal decision of the Ministry will be challenged by me in court. A number of other legal procedures will also be implemented aimed at stopping violations of the law by perpetrators”, wrote Hvozdii on his Facebook page.

He explained his dismissal by refusing to comply with the “illegal” order of the leadership of the Ministry.

Hvozdii considers the decision of the Ministry of Energy to be politically motivated and illegal, since an independent member of the Supervisory Board can be dismissed solely by court order, and not by order of the Minister.

To recap, on February 3, 2020, by the order of the Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine, the powers of a member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrhydroenergo Valentyn Hvozdii were terminated ahead of schedule
