The price of electricity for industry on the DAM dropped to a minimum in 4 months

The price of electricity that is sold and bought on the day-ahead market (DAM) on November 4-5 has fallen to its lowest level in four months the new market functioning since July 1. This was reported by BusinessCensor with reference to the press service of Market Operator.

“So, as of November 4, the average weighted purchase and sale price of electricity on the DAM in the UES of Ukraine was 1 392.42 UAH per MWh excluding VAT. As of November 5, the price decreased by another 0.3% and amounted to 1 388.02 UAH per MWh excluding VAT. This is the lowest minimum indicator of the working day since July 2019”, it was informed.

Recall that on July 1, 2019, Ukraine launched the new wholesale electricity market.

Earlier it was reported that there was a limitation of clean electricity production at night of November 5 in Ukraine for the first time. Ukrenergo limited the production of Botievska, Prymorska-1 and Orlovska wind farms.
