Centrenergo has limited electricity supplies to United Energy due to a debt of UAH 725 million

PJSC Centrenergo reduces the volume of electricity supply to United Energy LLC by 5 times due to the presence of overdue debts, the press service reports.

As of Wednesday, March 3, United Energy has an overdue debt under the electricity purchase and sale agreement dated December 29, 2020, of UAH 725 million. The debt made it impossible for PJSC Centrenergo to make timely payments for coal supplies.

“Consequently, it was decided to limit the supply of electricity to the said company. If part of the debt of at least UAH 234 million is not repaid by the end of the operating day 03.03.2021, Centrenergo may completely suspend the supply of electricity to United Energy LLC from 04.03.2021,” the company noted.

It is also reported that on March 2, part of the electricity produced by Centrenergo was sold during the first day-ahead entry of the enterprise to the market after the management was renewed. The cost of 1 kWh was UAH 1.53, which is 32% more than the sale price under a bilateral agreement with United Energy LLC.
