PJSC Centrenergo has paid UAH 53 million to state-owned coal mines for the last two weeks of June and another UAH 49 million on July 1. This was reported by the press service.
The payments are carried out in accordance with the developed plan for the repayment of debts for coal received.
“We developed a settlement plan with Ukrainian coal mines, which is already being implemented. I took this issue under personal control immediately after my appointment. We have already paid more than UAH 100 million, speeding up payments in July. Soon, this will remove the issue of miners' salaries from the agenda – of course, if there are no abuses at the mines,” said Acting General Director of PJSC Centrenergo, Oleksandr Korchynskyi.
He also noted that despite the difficult financial situation of the company and UAH 1.4 billion of debt of the state-owned Energorynok for the electricity produced, in the new schedule for July, it was possible to accelerate the rate of debt repayment to coal enterprises.
On July 1, the company paid an additional UAH 49 million of the planned UAH 120 million as part of the July schedule.
Recall that at the end of May the Supervisory Board of PJSC Centrenergo appointed Oleksandr Korchynskyi, Acting Director General of the company.
Earlier it was reported that the privatization of Centrenergo was planned for the second quarter of 2021.
