The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission has approved the tariff for electricity transmission services by main networks for the 2nd half of 2019 for NPC Ukrenergo in the amount of 312.14 UAH/MWh (excluding VAT), which is 10.2% less than that approved on June 7 (347.43 UAH/MWh), Expro reports.
The approved tariff will become effective on August 1.
It includes the costs associated with the purchase of electricity to compensate for technological losses –1.162 billion UAH, for performing PSO to ensure an increase in the share of electricity production from alternative sources –12.397 billion UAH. Total expenses are provided in the amount of 16.917 billion UAH, and the volume of electricity transmission is at the level of 54.195 thousand MWh.
According to Vsevolod Kovalchuk, he does not object to the adoption of the resolution and supports this decision. He believes that the funds that are provided in the tariff should be enough to purchase technological losses of electricity in the conditions of today's pricing.
Also, the Regulator approved the draft tariff for services in dispatching (operational and technological) control for the 2nd half of 2019 in the amount of 8.90 UAH/MWh, which also takes effect from August 1. The new rate is 9.5% higher than the previous one. The new tariff includes expenses for the purchase of ancillary services in the amount of 428.7 million UAH.
