Energoatom launched an internal procurement investigation forZNPP

NNEGC Energoatom reported that in early June 2020, the leadership of the State Enterprise initiated an internal investigation.

It is noted that on May 15, 2020, Zaporizhzhya NPP concluded an agreement with the Kyiv Energy Construction Company LLC for construction, installation and commissioning, based on the results of open bidding. The contract provided for the replacement of cable equipment, in particular for complete transformer substations of ZNPP own needs.

According to media reports, the prices of cables that were purchased under the contract were overestimated in comparison with other price offers for similar products on the market.

“On June 3, 2020 investigation was launched, the results of which will be immediately informed to the public immediately after its completion. In case of revealing and confirming the facts of abuse, violation of the current legislation or internal organizational and administrative documents of the company, all measures will be taken to hold the officials responsible for organizing and conducting the specified procurement liable,” the statement said.
