Energoatom reported that the total amount of debt to enterprises for electricity supplied by the NPP is about UAH 20 billion (taking into account the debt of Energorynok for the previous period), reports Economichna Pravda.
“This situation led to the lack of funds at Energoatom for settlements with contractors, and then to wage arrears to employees of these enterprises,” the company said.
Energoatom presented proposals aimed at solving this problem:
- weekly review of the forecast balance and increase in the share of Energoatom in the structure of electricity production to a level that corresponds to the actual consumption in the “basic schedule” mode (at least by 1000 MWh);
- changing the current PSO model and excluding the participation of Guaranteed Buyer SE as an intermediary in the sale of nuclear power to non-residential consumers;
- reduction of the mandatory share of electricity sales on the day-ahead market by producers from 15% to 5% by amending the Law of Ukraine “On the Electricity Market” (draft law No.3657);
- an increase in the share of nuclear power sales in the market of bilateral agreements to 40%.
Recall, the government approved a draft law that will allow Energoatom to sell more electricity directly to enterprises.
Earlier it was reported that Energoatom sued the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
