Energoatom will be able to enter the market of bilateral agreements

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted two decisions on the list of measures necessary to stabilize the situation in the energy sector, approved by the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters at a meeting on May 20. This was reported by the press service.

In particular, the mandatory share of electricity sales by NNEGC Energoatom was reduced within the framework of PSO mechanism and the enterprise was introduced into the market of bilateral agreements.

“NNEGC Energoatom will be able to sell released energy on the market of bilateral agreements at special auctions to large household consumers, without the possibility of its resale,” the statement said.

The price restrictions for the sale of electricity by Guaranteed Buyer were also lifted and the enterprise was granted the right to sell electricity under bilateral agreements.

It is noted that the adopted changes will improve the financial situation of SC Guaranteed Buyer, SE NNEGC Energoatom and other market participants, reduce the administrative impact on market pricing.
