Energoatom informs that on November 19 of this year, based on the results of the launch meeting with the participation of representatives of the State Nuclear Regulatory Agency, the Ministry of Energy, the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Enterprise NNEGC Energoatom, permission was obtained to start start-up operations at ZNPP power unit No.2 after the repair campaign.
The connection of this block to the grid will take place until November 23 of this year. After the launch at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, five power units out of six will operate.
The last – the sixth – power unit No.5 after the repair is planned to be launched on December 20, 2020.
As a reminder, on August 11, power unit No.2 was disconnected from the power system and put under medium planned preventive maintenance.
Earlier, a scheduled IAEA inspection had begun at Zaporizhzhia NPP.
