ZNPP power unit No.4 is disconnected from the power grid due to balance restrictions

On June 13, 2021, at 6:02 a.m., due to balance restrictions in the power grid, power unit No.4 of Zaporizhzhia NPP, according to the routines, was unloaded, disconnected from the grid and put into cold reserve, the press service of Zaporizhzhia NPP reports.

3 power units of the Zaporizhzhia NPP are in operation. The total capacity of the generators is 2890 MW. Power unit No.5 is undergoing 44 days of scheduled mid-life repairs, power unit No. 6 – 57th day of a scheduled overhaul.

To recap, the Zaporizhzhia NPP’s radiation monitoring system is being modernized.

As reported, power units No.1 and No.2 of ZNPP confirmed the right of Energoatom to enter the ancillary services market.
