Power unit No.6 of ZNPP was disconnected from the power grid for repairs

On April 18, 2021, at 12:01 a.m., power unit No.6 of Zaporizhzhia NPP was disconnected from the power system and put into major preventive maintenance, the press service reports.

Now 3 power units of Zaporizhzhia NPP are in operation. The total capacity of the generators is 2,930 MW. Power unit No.1 is undergoing 86 days of scheduled medium repairs, and at power unit No.3, 34 days of scheduled medium repairs.

As a reminder, ZNPP has unloaded power unit No.2 to a capacity of 600 MW.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada supported the certification of NPC Ukrenergo as an independent operator of the transmission system.
