Power unit No. 6 of Zaporizhzhia NPP was put into reserve

NNEGC Energoatom reported that on June 3, 2020 at 2:01 am, unit No. 6 of Zaporizhzhia NPP was unloaded, disconnected from the grid and put into reserve in accordance with regulatory procedures due to balance restrictions in the power system.

At present, 2 power units of the NPP are in operation. The total capacity of the generators is 2000 MW. Power unit No.1 is also in reserve.

As of June 3, 2020, the available capacity of the power units is 10,470 MW, the current capacity is 6,950 MW.

Over the past day, June 2, NPPs generated 168.15 million kWh of electricity.

Nuclear power plants of Ukraine underproduced 80.54 kWh of electricity due to balance restrictions over the past day.
