Guaranteed Buyer received technical support from USAID

At the beginning of the new electricity market in Ukraine, the state-owned Guaranteed Buyer enterprise and the USAID Energy Security Project (ESP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The company said that one of the results of the interaction was the transfer of computer equipment to the enterprise, which took place on February 5, 2020.

Guaranteed Buyer models possible scenarios for the development of the energy industry with the help of the state-owned enterprise ESP, presenting its findings to the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission and the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection. The “Guaranteed Buyer” and USAID experts exchange experience and together develop proposals for improving market functioning mechanisms.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is an independent agency of the US federal government.

The main task of the project is the technical assistance of the Government of Ukraine with the aim of enhancing the country's energy security, providing affordable, reliable and safe energy for all Ukrainians by creating and developing free market mechanisms in the energy sector and integration into the EU energy markets.
