Guaranteed Buyer begins selling electricity under bilateral agreements

SC Guaranteed Buyer initiated the first auction for the sale of electric energy under bilateral agreements in the trade zone of the IPS of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service.

The auction in the coefficients trading mode will be held at 11:00 am on June 5, 2020 on the electronic platform of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange.

Total sales: 139895 MWh. Period of electicity supply: 11.06.2020 – 17.06.2020.

For sale:

1. Base load (purchase and sale is carried out throughout the trading day);

2. Block bid (purchase and sale is carried out from 01:00 am to 7:00 am of the trading day);

3. Block bid (purchase and sale is carried out from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm of the trading day).

It is noted that the holding of such an auction was made possible due to the amendments to the Regulation on the public service obligation to participants of the electricity market adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to ensure public interests in the functioning of the electricity market.

The right of Guaranteed Buyer to buy and sell electric energy under bilateral agreements is one of the measures developed by the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters aimed at resolving problematic issues in the energy industry and balancing supply and demand in organized market segments.
