SE Guaranteed Buyer paid 1.5 billion UAH at the “green” tariff in July

“From the paid funds, 454 million UAH was received from PJSC NPC Ukrenergo for the service to ensure an increase in the share of production from alternative sources, the estimated value of which in July is 19.2 billion UAH.  As of August 8, 2019, Ukrenergo owes 1.47 billion UAH to Guaranteed Buyer”, the company said.

Due to the blocking of Ukrenergo tariffs, renewable energy producers received 1.06 billion UAH from the Guaranteed Buyer, which were received from the sale of electricity on the day-ahead market and the intraday market.

In the first month of operation of the new electricity market, the total amount of payments of “green production” reached 51.1% of the total amount.

As of August 7, 2019, 414 companies are included in the register of producers at the “green” tariff.  The total amount of produced alternative energy in July is about 506 thousand MWh.

On June 27, 2019 the Kyiv District Administrative Court on a lawsuit by JSC Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant, suspended the resolution of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of June 7, 2019 No.954 and No.955, which established tariffs for NPC Ukrenergo for electricity transmission and dispatch control services for the second half of 2019.

“The suspension of these resolutions affected the entire further chain of payments with green production, their investors, jeopardized the work of the new market and the future of the renewable energy industry as a whole”, the statement said.

Now, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission decrees dated 07.06.2019 No.954 and No.955 have been suspended only in a few enterprises (Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant, Zaporizhzhia Ferroalloy Plant, Pokrovsky Mining and Processing Plant, Manganets Mining and Processing Plant, Dniproazot).  Litigation continues.
