Kharkiv CHPP-5 received permission to participate in the ancillary services market

On May 14, Kharkiv CHPP-5 received certificates of compliance with the requirements for ancillary services of its electrical installations, Ukrenergo reports.

The CHPP can participate in procurement auctions from Monday, May 18.

It is noted that it became the tenth power station, which received the status of a participant in the ancillary services market.

Nowadays, 10 power plants are participants of the market, of which eight are hydroelectric power plants that are part of Ukrhydroenergo, Kurakhivska CHPP DTEK Vostokenergo and Kharkiv CHPP-5.

Also, Ukrenergo reported that the testing of Zaporizhzhya TPP’s power units was restored to participate in the ancillary services market.
