Almost 180 settlements faced blackouts due to bad weather
The State Emergency Situations Service reported that 179 settlements in 8 regions were de-energized on Tuesday morning due to strong winds, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“As of 7:00 on November 30, as a result of the bad weather conditions (gusts of wind) automatic protection systems for power transmission lines went off, 179 settlements in 8 regions were de-energized (Chernihiv - 49, Donetsk - 36, Kyiv - 29, Poltava - 24, Zhytomyr - 15, Sumy - 13, Volyn - 7 and Luhansk - 6). Brigades of regional gas companies have been involved in the resumption of power supply,” the message says.
