The Cabinet of Ministers appointed interim head of Energoatom

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Pavlo Pavlyshyn (Director General of RNPP branch office) as interim head. This was announced by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko from the European Solidarity faction on Facebook.

“The Cabinet of Ministers approved that Pavel Pavlyshyn will temporarily perform the duties of SE NNEGC Energoatom”, Honcharenko wrote.

The state enterprise National Atomic Energy Generating Company Energoatom was established in October 1996. The company is the operator of four operating nuclear power plants in Ukraine, which operates 15 nuclear power units with a total installed capacity of 13.835 MW.

Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed head of Energoatom Yuri Nedashkovsky. According to the Ukrainian Nuclear Society, the initiator of the dismissal was Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection Oleksiy Orzhel.

Subsequently, the Ministry of Energy named six reasons for the dismissal of Nedashkovsky, including ineffective management.
