The Cabinet of Ministers introduces duties on electricity and coal from Russia in April

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to impose additional duties on imports of electricity and all types of coal from the Russian Federation, with the exception of anthracite and coking coal. This is reported by Economichna Pravda.

This decision was made at a meeting on Wednesday, March 18.

Duties are introduced from April 1, 2020 – their size will be 65% of the customs value of coal or electricity.

At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers proposes not to apply new duties on anthracites and coking coal for electricity production and for use in the metallurgical industry.
