Cyberpolice advised Energoatom to contact the SBU
NNEGC Energoatom did not contact the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine regarding a hacker attack on its website, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Cybepolice Department of the National Police.
“We are not aware of Energoatom’s appeal on this matter,” the law enforcement officers informed.
According to the cyber police, Energoatom's website is currently operating normally.
“Perhaps there was an attempt (to commit - ed.) a DDoS attack, which they (Energoatom - ed.) suppressed on their own. This happens every day. There is nothing abnormal here,” the department said.
The Cyberpolice recommended that NNEGC Energoatom contact the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (GSSSIZI), “since this is a critical infrastructure” or the Security Service of Ukraine.
