DTEK Kyivski elektromerezhi presented the Development Plan for the capital electricity grid until 2024. The plan includes new and modernized energy facilities, smart technologies, modern customer service and improved quality of power supply. It is needed investment of UAH 8.8 billion to implement the planned in five years.
Maris Kunickis said it during a press meeting, Kosatka.Media reports.
“Our focus is the digitalization of electricity grid infrastructure management, improving the reliability of power supply and the quality of customer service. According to company forecasts, by 2024, electricity consumption in Kyiv will grow by approximately 9%. To meet the growing needs of domestic customers and businesses, we are building new facilities and modernizing existing ones, introducing Smart Grid technologies”, said Kunickis.
He emphasized that the development of grid in the company was compared with the development of the city. Until the end of 2024, 4 new large substations of 110-10 kV will be built in Kyiv: Odesa, Lukyanovska, Brest-Litovsky, Nova Kabelna. 51 kilometers of 110-35 kV power lines will also be built and 1,753 kilometers of networks and 231 power facilities will be reconstructed.
According to Kunickis, today the equipment of 64 high-voltage substations is remotely controlled. As a result of the project, digital control will be installed at 4,261 low and medium voltage facilities. This will allow you to remotely control the grid on each street and quickly respond to emergency situations, and therefore, increase the reliability of the power system.
The data received from automated objects will be processed by the updated SCADA software dispatch system. It, analyzing the information, will be able not only to help manage the grid, but also to predict possible emergency situations and offer solutions. This will improve the quality of energy supply.
The company also qualitatively changes its customer service, focusing on the development of online service channels. In particular, a client portal was launched last year. For the first time, a map of planned outages became available in it. And in 2020 there will be a chatbot and a mobile app.
