The Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection chose the leadership of the Expert Council

Acting Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection Olha Buslavets held the first meeting of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection, at which the council leadership, working groups were selected and its work priorities were determined, the press service said.

Serhii Chekh was elected Chairman of the Expert Council. Within the council, seven working groups have been created.

The working group on the long-term planning was headed by Oleksandr Sukhodolya, the working group on the functioning of the electricity market - Oleksii Nikitin, the working group on the functioning of the natural gas market - Leonid Unihovskyi, the working group on the functioning of the thermal energy market - Oleksandr Sihal, the working group on fossil fuel , other energy sources and innovative technologies - Nataliia Dunaevska, the working group on environmental protection and climate change - Svitlana Hrinchuk, the working group on the problems of atomic industry and nuclear energy - Olha Kosharna.

Olha Buslavets noted that the tasks of the Expert Council would include monitoring of problematic issues that arose in the field of energy and environmental protection, developing recommendations for their solution, as well as economic modeling and calculations, analysis of documents from an economic point of view.

Recall that the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection by order of May 12, 2020 created an Expert Council, which includes 50 experts from the energy and environmental sectors.
