The Ministry of Energy calculated the savings at the FIT – more than UAH 1.5 billion
Consumers saved more than UAH 1.5 billion in three months due to the reduction of the FIT following the Memorandum of Understanding and Law 810-IX, which is being implemented, according to the website of the Ministry of Energy.
In August, when the reduced tariffs began to operate, the savings amounted to UAH 618 million, in September – UAH 541 million, in October – UAH 376 million (excluding VAT).
The level of settlements with renewable energy producers has significantly increased, the Ministry of Energy assures.
In August, Guaranteed Buyer paid for 100% of the released products – UAH 5.2 billion. In September, producers of renewable electricity received UAH 4.3 billion, which is 93% of its total cost.
Before the signing of the Memorandum and the adoption of the relevant law, the settlement rate did not exceed 5% (in April-July 2020).
The Ministry of Energy recalled that Guaranteed Buyer could sell renewable electricity under bilateral contracts at electronic auctions. In October, the government adopted the changes proposed by the Ministry, improving the rules for holding such auctions and aimed at stabilizing the situation on the electricity market.
