The Ministry of Energy approved the procedure for the mandatory sale of electricity by manufacturers exclusively at electronic auctions

At its meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution developed by the Ministry of Energy "On Amendments to the Procedure for Holding Electronic Auctions for the Sale of Electricity Under Bilateral Agreements", the press service reports.

Now electricity producers, regardless of their form of ownership (except for producers who have established a "green" tariff and electricity producers who, as a result of the auction, received the right to support), sell electricity under bilateral agreements exclusively at electronic auctions.

Thus, equal conditions are created for trade in electricity in the market of bilateral agreements for all categories of electricity producers.

“The new rules will encourage both producers and consumers to focus on long-term contracts. Consumers will receive electricity at a stable price for a long period, producers - the opportunity to financially balance enterprises and implement long-term development plans for companies,” said First Deputy Energy Minister Yurii Vlasenko.

To recap, the Ministry of Energy approved preliminary contracts for the sale and purchase of electricity within the new PSO model.

As reported, from October 1, the price of electricity for household consumers will be UAH 1.44/kWh, subject to consumption up to 250 kWh.
