WANO mission gets started at Khmelnytsky NPP

The World Association of Nuclear Operators experts arrived at KhNPP. On June 22-26, a WANO support mission, the topic of which is «Using error prevention tools by different categories of staff. Practical training in the use of tools to prevent errors… », is underway here.

For five days, experts, led by an adviser to WANO, will discuss the issues regarding the organization of work with personnel and consider the world's best practices in the use of error prevention tools, including in the procedures and documents used.

The mission will raise issues of monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of the above tools using, as well as the organization of training of relevant personnel. Experts from Atomremontservice, domestic South-Ukraine and Rivne nuclear power plants, as well as the Slovak Mochovce NPP will share their experience.

During the official opening of the WANO support mission, General Director of Khmelnytsky NPP Andriy Kozyura congratulated the experts, noting the importance of their experience in improving the plant's operation. In turn, Bohdan Shmyhelsky, Deputy General Director for Human Resources, stressed the importance of the active participation of KhNPP employees in the activities provided for in the mission program.

Following the work, the experts will develop recommendations for improving the skills developed in the use of tools to prevent staff errors.
