Repair of power unit No.1 has begun at Krivyi Rih TPP

At power unit No.1 of DTEK Kryvyi Rih TPP, current repairs have begun, which will last until October 1. The start of the repair work was planned for the second half of June, but to maintain the balance in the united energy system of Ukraine, the first power unit worked over and above the plan for another two months, the press service reports.

The first power unit is the only one at the TPP, which works by burning gas coal.

To date, DTEK Energy has completed 16 out of 28 repairs of TPP power units planned for this year. The amount of investments since the beginning of the year amounted to UAH 878 million, by the end of the year investments in the repair campaign are expected at UAH 2.5 billion.

To recap, DTEK Energy and Centrenergo have agreed to supply 75,000 tonnes of thermal coal from the United States in the coming months.

As reported, there was a fire in an oil tank at DTEK Burshtyn TPP.
