Renewable electricity production decreased by 10.1% last week – Ukrenergo

NPC Ukrenergo reports that the total electricity consumption amounted to slightly more than 2.491 billion kWh last week, which is 0.8% more than a week earlier (2.471 billion kWh).

At the same time, the average daily consumption on weekdays did not change compared to the previous week (358 million kWh), and on weekends it increased by 3.1% (350.3 million kWh versus 339.9 million kWh). Compared to the same period last year, consumption on weekdays decreased by 7%, and on weekends – by 4.7%.

Consumption has amounted to 9.54 billion kWh since the beginning of September, which is 4.2% more than the forecast balance.

Electricity production from wind and solar farms decreased by 10.1% during the week and amounted to 214.6 million kWh (against 238.8 million kWh in the previous week).

The highest level of production by solar and wind farms went down on Monday, September 21 (27.1 million kWh and 7.1 million kWh, respectively). The share of SPPs and WPPs in total electricity production during the week was 8%.

Control instructions for limiting wind and solar power plants were not given during the week.

SPPs have generated 673.7 million kWh since the beginning of September, which is 5.4% more than the forecast, and wind farms – 213.9 million kWh, which is 30.1% less than the forecast.

During the week, according to operational data, the total production of nuclear power plants amounted to 1.33 billion kWh, which is 3.1% more than last week (1.288 billion kWh). The average daily production was 189.7 million kWh. NPPs have generated slightly more than 5.05 billion kWh since the beginning of the month, which is 9.1% higher than the forecast balance.

From Monday, September 21 to Tuesday, September 22, the baseload of NPPs remained at the level of 7.5 - 7.7 GW. Starting from September 23rd and until the end of the week, the load was increased to 8–8.1 GW.

As of September 28, 10 power units were in operation, 5 were under repair.

Over the past week, HPPs generated 97.1 million kWh, which is 0.6% less than in the previous week (97.6 million kWh). At the same time, the average daily production amounted to 13.87 million kWh. Since the beginning of September, HPPs have generated 378.5 million kWh, which is 33.5% more than the forecast.

TPPs generated 737 million kWh over the past week, which is 3.5% more than in the previous week (712.1 million kWh). The average daily production of TPPs was 105.3 million kWh. Since the beginning of September, TPPs have produced 2.72 billion kWh, which is 5.1% less than the forecast balance.
