On February 24, 2020, at 7:01 am, power unit No. 4 (VVER-1000) of the Rivne NPP is connected to the power grid. This was reported by the press service.
The current repair of the power unit lasted from February 15 to February 21, 2020. Power unit No. 4 of the NPP was in reserve since February 22, 2020.
“As of 8:00 am on February 24, all four power units of Rivne NPP are in operation. There are no comments on the operation of the main equipment of the existing power units and personnel. Over the past day, three power units with a total load of 1836 MW were in operation at the NPP”, the report said.
It is noted that over the past day, 44.1 million kWh of electricity had been produced by RNPP’s power units, 1 billion 178.7 million kWh of electricity since the beginning of the month and 3 billion 14.7 million kWh of electricity since the beginning of the year.
Rivne Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) is located in the north-west of Rivne region in the city of Varash. Four power units with a total capacity of 2835 MW are operated at RNPP: unit No.1 (VVER-440) with a capacity of 420 thousand kW since 1980, unit No.2 (VVER-440) with a capacity of 415 thousand kW since 1981, unit No.3 (VVER - 1000) with a capacity of 1 million kW since 1986, unit No.4 (VVER-1000) with a capacity of 1 million kW since 2004.
