NABU: Ex-director of Market Operator SE illegally awarded himself bonuses worth more than UAH 2 million

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported on the suspicion to an external adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, the former director of Market Operator SE, of seizing UAH 2.15 million of the state enterprise’s funds.

According to the investigation, during 2019-2020, an official illegally seized funds of a state enterprise for a total amount of over UAH 2.15 million, "issuing orders to pay himself bonuses, incentives and allowances."

In the period 2019-2020, Market Operator was headed by Volodymyr Evdokymov.

The Energy Ministry said that he is not an adviser to the minister.

"The Ministry of Energy, if necessary, will provide all the necessary information to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, which are investigating the activities of the former director of Market Operator Volodymyr Evdokymov," the Ministry of Energy said.

To recap, Poroshenko is suspected of treason due to the supply of coal from the occupied territories.
