Naftogaz installed the first charging station for electric vehicles outside Kyiv

NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has installed the first charging station outside the capital under the WeEnergy brand, the press service reports.

As before, the new charging station in Stoyanka is equipped with a EUA-2 charging complex. It is suitable for the main types of electric vehicles of global brands. On average, recharging one electric car takes up to 2.5 hours. Drivers can pay for the consumed energy by credit card using a special app on their mobile phone.

“A little more than a year has passed since the installation of the first WeEnergy charging station in Kyiv. During this period, we developed a chain of charging stations in the capital. And finally, we took the first step towards installing them outside Kyiv. The charging station in Stoyanka is only the beginning and a small part of an ambitious project – a large-scale entry of Naftogaz into the market of electric discharge devices and achieving carbon neutrality by 2040,” Serhii Pereloma, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, said.

Recently, Naftogaz and Kyiv City State Administration signed a memorandum on interaction and cooperation for the creation and development of infrastructure for electric vehicles. As part of the implementation of the Memorandum, Naftogaz plans to open at least 50 electric charging stations in the capital, providing the ability to recharge electric cars in all areas of the city.
