This was announced by a member of the NEURC Dmytro Kovalenko during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services.

According to the calculations of the Commission, this will allow attracting an additional UAH 12 billion per year.

The Regulator also proposes to raise electricity prices for the population to the level of industry within 2-5 years, and to provide targeted assistance to vulnerable categories of consumers.

Now the population pays at a rate of 90 kopecks (including VAT) for the first 100 kWh per month, and for the rest – UAH 1.68 per kWh.
