NEURC fined Kirovohradoblenergo and Kharkivenergosbut

The National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities, at its meeting, decided to impose penalties on PJSC Kirovohradoblenergo and PJSC Kharkivenergosbut, the press service reports.

The basis for the inspection of Kirovohradoblenergo is the request of the customer of connection services, namely the obligation of the licensee to timely provide technical conditions for standard connection and the customer's request to disconnect his facility from the distribution systems.

According to the NEURC inspection results, PJSC Kirovohradoblenergo was fined of UAH 170,000.

 During the inspection of Kharkivenergosbut, carried out at the plaintiff's request, the regulator imposed a fine of UAH 1,700,000 for non-compliance with the requirements of regulations governing the functioning of the electricity market and violation of the Licensing Conditions for the supply of electricity to the consumer.

Besides, Kharkivenergosbut is obliged to provide, by February 15, 2021, the possibility of creating a consumer's account for legal entities on the official website, and inform NEURC by March 1, 2021, providing duly certified copies of supporting documents.

Earlier it was reported that the AMCU would study the validity and transparency of tariffs for gas distribution. If violations are detected, it will oblige the National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the field of energy and utilities, to correct the situation.
