The Regulator proposes to increase the tariff for transmission of Ukrenergo to UAH 316.08/MWh

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) approved an increase in the tariff for the transmission of NPC Ukrenergo from April 1, 2021, by 7.5% - up to UAH 316.08/MWh, Energoreforma reports.

“This is approval. We invite everyone to discuss. If someone sees other sources or inaccuracies, or some possibilities regarding tariff optimization, we will readily cooperate with absolutely all parties. Today it is UAH 316.08/MWh,” said the Head of NEURC.

According to the justification for the draft of the relevant resolution of the NEURC, the basis for the increase in the electricity transmission tariff for NPC Ukrenergo for 2021 was the inclusion in its structure of an additional UAH 1.495 billion of expenses for the payment of interest on UAH 10.25 billion of loans from state banks attracted by the system operator transfers for settlements with SE Guaranteed Buyer.

At the same time, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission, at the suggestion of Ukrenergo, refused to include in the tariff UAH 11.350 billion of the deficit of funds in 2021 for the financial support of Guaranteed Buyer within the framework of PSO for settlements with renewable generation.

As reported, Guaranteed Buyer paid the FIT of UAH 2.23 billion.
