The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NKREK), based on the results of the audit, found that Kharkivoblenergo violated the Licensing Conditions for the Distribution of Electricity, in particular, failure to comply with the licensee's obligation to provide and carry out commercial metering of electricity and data exchange commercial accounting following the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine.
Thus, at the request of a lawyer in the interests of the consumer, it was verified that Kharkivoblenergo carried out an excessive charge of consumed electrical energy on 19 personal accounts of household consumers in the amount of 11.5 million kWh for October 2020, which were transferred to Kharkivenergosbut.
Therefore, NEURC decided to impose a maximum fine of UAH 1.7 million on the regional power distribution company.
