NEURC postponed the approval of the certification of NPC Ukrenergo
The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission, during the meeting on December 10, postponed the decision on the final certification of NPC Ukrenergo.
“There is a proposal to postpone this decision, we have just received an order on the appointment of members of the Supervisory Board, but we will take time to analyze this order, members and other decisions that were made by the ministry, how this affects the independence of the operator,” said the head of NEURC Valerii Tarasiuk.
Olha Babii, a member of NEURC, noted that after submitting the order, the commission should ensure that the independence of the newly appointed members of the Supervisory Board is checked, in particular, regarding the conflict of interest for each representative personally and the study of their previous work experience.
To recap, the Ministry of Energy approved the new Supervisory Board of NPC Ukrenergo.
As reported, NEURC increased the tariff for electricity transmission for 2022.
