The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) approved the reduction of the tariff for the services of SE Ukrinterenergo, from October 1 today at its meeting. The enterprise perform as “the supplier of the last resort” and the tariff will be reduced by 34.9% (by UAH 137,91/MWh) – up to UAH 239.28/MWh (excluding VAT), Energoreforma informs.
The new tariff was calculated based on data on actual prices for electricity on the day-ahead market (the DAM) in July-August.
For the third quarter of 2020, Ukrinterenergo's tariff was UAH 377.19/MWh excluding VAT.
According to the Law "On the Electricity Market", the price for the services of “the supplier of the last resort” is determined by the results of a tender, during which such a supplier is determined. However, since the corresponding tender did not take place, on December 12, 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers approved Ukrinterenergo as SoLR without a tender.
Ukrinterenergo will perform as SoLR until January 1, 2021.
