Energoatom states that VostGOK management prejudices miners against the company
NNEGC Energoatom reports that on December 16, 2020, VostGOK employees blocked traffic on highways of national importance in the Kirovohrad region, protesting against the stop of mines and non-payment of wages.
“The director of the enterprise explained to the miners that this debt allegedly arose as a result of Energoatom's failure to fulfil its obligations under the contract with VostGOK regarding the supply of uranium concentrate. He disseminates the same information in the media and government offices,” said Energoatom.
NNEGC Energoatom once again emphasized that the company has no debts for the supplied products to the state-owned enterprise Vostochny Ore Mining and Processing Plant.
The company also said that they paid VostGOK almost UAH 2.8 billion, including UAH 110.5 million in December. According to Energoatom, the plant's debt to its own miners is about UAH 140 million.
NNEGC Energoatom plans to apply to law enforcement and judicial authorities soon.
Let us remind you that Energoatom rejects accusations of non-fulfilment of obligations to VostGOK.
Earlier it was reported that the only uranium producer in Ukraine due to debts of Energoatom entered the idle mode
