The electricity tariff of the SoLR will almost double from October

The electricity tariff of the supplier of “last resort”, which is now Ukrinterenergo, will almost double in the 4th quarter of this year – up to UAH 1238 per MWh, according to Ekonomichna Pravda.

This decision was made by NEURC at a meeting on September 16.

In the 4th quarter (from October 1), the tariff for the services of the supplier of “last resort” will amount to UAH 1238.17/MWh (excluding VAT). In the 3rd quarter – UAH 613.16/MWh.

“We do it every quarter. Unfortunately, the figure is large enough, and we can discuss the issue of making changes to the methodology for calculating the tariff. But now it comes out the way it is,” Dmytro Kovalenko, member of NEURC said.

Following the methodology for calculating the tariff for the services of the supplier of "last resort", the regulator will publish the tariff for services on the official website no later than 5 days before the start of the billing period for which this tariff is set.

As a reminder, State Enterprise Ukrinterenergo has been determined as the supplier of the “last resort” for the period from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2021.
