Slovakia provided emergency assistance to Ukraine due to problems at Burshtyn TPP

On the night of December 20-21, Slovakia provided emergency assistance to Ukraine due to problems at power unit No.7 of Burshtyn TPP, the press service of Burshtyn TPP reported.

“The power engineers had to promptly eliminate the identified defects at power unit No. 7, therefore, to ensure a stable supply of heat and electricity to Ukrainians, we insured ourselves with additional megawatts from Slovakia,” DTEK said in a statement.

At present, 9 power units are operating at Burshtyn TPP, the station carries a load of 1266 MW.

To recap, 19 power units did not work in the energy system of Ukraine this morning due to a lack of fuel.
