Ukraine provided emergency assistance to Polish power grid

NPC Ukrenergo provided the power grid of Poland with emergency assistance from the UES of Ukraine. The Polish transmission system operator Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE) requested for assistance.

The total amount of emergency assistance amounted to 945 MWh (135 MWh on an equal schedule for seven hours in a row, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm), the press service reports.

To provide emergency assistance, power unit No.7 of Dobrotvirska TPP was connected to an overhead power transmission line 220 kV Dobrotvirskaya TPP – Zamosc (Poland).

The company stressed that emergency assistance, as a last resort in balancing the energy system, is activated by all countries with which the energy system of Ukraine is synchronized, including the EU states that are members of ENTSO-E.

To recap, the Cabinet of Ministers approved four members of the Supervisory Board of Ukrenergo.
