First power unit of BelNPP disconnected from the grid in Belarus
The Ministry of Energy of Belarus announced the disconnection of the first power unit of the BelNPP from the power network due to the activation of the automatic protection system, the press service reports.
“On November 17, 2021, at 10:33 am, the first power unit of the BelNPP was disconnected from the network by automatic action. Specialists carry out diagnostics and analysis of the operation of technological systems. The radiation background at the NPP and in the observation area is normal,” the message says.
To recap, the IEA predicts a decrease in the share of nuclear energy until 2050.
