Ukrainians purchased 622 electric vehicles in May
In May, Ukrainians purchased 622 electric vehicles. This May result was 34% less than a year ago, Ukravtoprom reports.
The percentage of new cars in this amount is 11%.
The bulk of the electric vehicles registered in May were passenger cars – 590 cars (new – 66, used – 524 cars.) In comparison with last year's result, registrations of electric vehicles decreased by almost 36%.
Of the 32 commercial electric vehicles that received Ukrainian license plates last month, only one was new. Compared to May 2020, the demand for commercial electric vehicles increased by 14%. The most popular electric car once again became NISSAN Leaf. Within a month, 186 cars of this model received Ukrainian registration.
In second place is Tesla Model 3 (66 cars), and Audo E-Tron closes the top 3 (33 cars).
In just five months from the beginning of the year, a little more than 3 thousand cars have passed their first registration in Ukraine, or 12% more than in the same period in 2020. The percentage of used cars in this amount is 90%.
Recall that a test track is being developed in Italy for charging electric vehicles on the move.
As reported, in 2020, sales of electric vehicles in the world grew by almost 40%.
