The Ministry of Energy reports on the share of green energy in the country's energy balance has grown

In Ukraine, the share of green energy (nuclear, hydro, wind, solar, biogas/mass) in the energy balance has reached 87.4%, the Ministry of Energy reported

In other words, almost 9 out of 10 kWh consumed in Ukraine were produced with no CO2 emissions. 

“In terms of the development of carbon-free generation, Ukraine is at the same level and sometimes even exceeds the corresponding indicators of the EU countries. Thus, in 2021, the weighted average share of the carbon-free energy mix of the EU countries was 63%, and in Ukraine, it reached 70%. For example, in Germany, the share of clean electricity was 44%, and natural gas and coal covered the rest.
