The Ministry of Energy announced the liquidation of the state concern Nuclear Fuel

Acting Minister of Energy Olha Buslavets said that the state concern Nuclear Fuel will be liquidated due to the failure to fulfill the function defined during its creation, Business Censor reports.

“The Nuclear Fuel Concern did not fulfill its function in relation to the construction of nuclear fuel assemblies. A decision has been made that its further functioning is inexpedient,” she said.

Buslavets clarified that this issue was considered during her stay at the Eastern Mining and Processing Plant and following the results of the company's audit.

“And today the period of its preparation for liquidation will be carried out,” the head of the Ministry of Energy noted.

The State Concern Nuclear Fuel was created with the aim of organizing certain elements of the nuclear fuel cycle, such as production, on the territory of Ukraine.
