The Kyiv District Administrative Court opened proceedings on the claim of MP Mykhaylo Volynets (Batkivshchyna faction) to the Cabinet of Ministers on the dismissal from the post of a member of NEURC Valerii Tarasiuk, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“I want to inform the public that the Kyiv District Administrative Court, upon my appeal regarding the illegality of Valerii Tarasyuk’s stay as a member of NEURC, opened proceedings and appointed the case for consideration,” Volynets wrote on his Facebook page.
According to the court's data, proceedings have been opened in the case of the claim of MP Mykhaylo Volynets, registered on October 12.
On October 12, the Kyiv District Administrative Court registered Volynets's claim against the Cabinet of Ministers for the dismissal of Tarasiuk from the post of a member of NEURC. Volynets explained his actions by "gross violations of the current legislation revealed in Tarasyuk's actions."
He also said that he received a response to his request from the Minister of Justice, confirming that the Head of NEURC did not undergo a special check before being appointed to the position of a member of the Commission in 2019.
As was reported, in November last year, Valerii Tarasiuk was elected the Head of NEURC.
