Ukrenergo reported full payment for a feed-in tariff

Ukrenergo fully paid off money to SE Guaranteed Buyer to compensate for the costs of a feed-in tariff in the second half of 2019.

This was announced at a press conference on the preliminary results of 2019 by Head of Ukrenergo Vsevolod Kovalchuk, Kosatka.Media reports.

“During July-December, Guaranteed Buyer issued invoices for UAH 9.153 billion. Whereas only 7.757 billion UAH are provided for in the transfer tariff for compensation. Ukrenergo paid a total of UAH 7.272 in favor of Guaranteed Buyer. After Guaranteed Buyer adjusted the cost of the service, the amount of Ukrenergo's obligations to this company decreased to UAH 6.841 billion, resulting in an overpayment of UAH 431 million”, Kovalchuk explained.

In addition, in the 2nd half of 2019, NЗC Ukrenergo paid UAH 485 million (including VAT) to universal service providers to compensate for a feed-in tariff for renewable energy from private households. This is 354% more than what is envisaged for these expenses in the transmission tariff – UAH 137 million (including VAT). The debt of Ukrenergo to universal service providers is UAH 288.9 million.

According to Kovalchuk, during July-December 2019, universal service providers issued invoices for an average of UAH 773.9 million. At the same time, as of January 21, 2020 they are in debt to Ukrenergo with payment of the transfer tariff of almost UAH 243 million (including VAT).

Vsevolod Kovalchuk also said that Ukrenergo had the largest receivables and payables in its entire history.
